Stephen Tsu, President and CEO: Steve has over 20 years of industrial and construction management experience at both large and small firms. He previously was the Chief Marketing Officer of a $200M division at Applied Materials where he managed the strategic marketing and business development for their semiconductor services and semi & solar environmental equipment businesses. Prior to Applied Materials, he was the General Manager of EcoSys, the leading provider of environmental abatement equipment to the semiconductor industry. He also managed construction projects on a global basis for Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., Amerada Hess Corporation and several other companies for over 10 years. He holds a BSME from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. He also serves on the Board of Advisors of TransCarbon International, a company helping businesses develop environmentally sustainable practices
Romy Roque, Chief Financial Officer: Romy has over 13 years of financial accounting and operations management experience in commercial and construction business. He is the Controller at Alliance Roofing Company, a $30M+ commercial roofing business, and manages all corporate safety and financial operations. He is certified on both Cal-OSHA and federal OSHA standards and practices. Romy also worked for three years in finance and accounting with Hilton Hotels, a subsidiary of the Blackstone Group, and Starwood Hotels. He has a BS in Business Administration from San Jose State University.
Charlie Murray, Director: Charlie has over 25 years of industrial manufacturing and construction management experience. He previously worked at Applied Materials Inc. as a Global Product Manager for the environmental and gas systems in the Solar Business Group. He also spent 15 years at Intel Corporation where he held various management positions in Capital Equipment procurement, Equipment Engineering, Facility design, Construction Engineering, and project management. Prior to Intel he worked for 10 years at Analog Devices, a major semiconductor manufacturer, in Limerick Ireland, where he held the position of Engineering Manager in the Thin Film manufacturing area. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Limerick University in Ireland.
Dana Miller, Director: Dana is the Vice President and Director of Alliance Roofing Company, a $30M+ commercial roofing business, where he runs production and daily operations. He has managed over (200) projects valued at more than $100M including major jobs at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, the San Jose Arena, the Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland, and the Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, CA. Dana studied civil engineering at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD and at the University of Maryland.
Francis Cook, Advisor: Frank is a senior vice president with Arthur J. Gallagher insurance brokers located in San Jose, CA. He has been in the construction insurance and bond business since 1971. Prior to merging with AJG in the year 2000, he was a principal with R. G. Speno, Inc, since 1979. His clients are some of the largest general, and sub contractors in the bay area, and he consults on several boards. He is active in many construction organizations, including a lifetime presidents' membership in the AGC, continuing associations with the CFMA, NOR-CAL Drywall Association, ASA, Surety Association, and EUCA. He holds a BA from Nichols College in Dudley, MA, and a CPCU (Chartered Property, Casualty Underwriter); completed graduate work at George Mason University; and is continuing work on a CLU designation (Chartered Life Underwriter).
Sean Murray, Advisor: Sean is currently a Project Executive with JT Magen & Company, Inc., a large general contractor and construction management company in New York city. Sean has over 25 years experience in the construction industry with Laing Management and CDI Designs throughout Europe and in New York and has managed projects such as Salomon Smith Barney, HSBC Bank, and the Bloomberg LP facility. He holds a BS in Architecture from the University of Limerick and a BS in Project Management & Quantity Surveying from the University of North London, England. He also is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building in the UK and Ireland.
Dennis Tsu, Advisor: Dennis is co-founder and managing director of Cardinal Solar Capital, a solar PPA (power purchase agreement) developer focused on providing affordable solar energy to commercial building owners. He started his career doing consulting with BCG and McKinsey and has over 25 years of experience in developing and marketing technology products, for Cisco, Sun Microsystems, IBM, and several start-ups. He graduated from Princeton University and has a MBA from Stanford.
